The initial brief was to create a low maintenance and relaxing space for entertaining whilst complementing the modern interior of the client’s home.
As a reasonably modest space, plants had to be carefully selected and positioned to add drama and architectural interest whilst also offering the qualities required to screen or cover. Mature plants were used for instant impact.
The seating area was positioned to receive the evening sun and then accessed through the bespoke pergola which was designed and built to increase the perceived sense of space whilst offering some screening.
