case study 05
With this large garden there was a great opportunity to offer a variety of contrasting functions, styles and viewpoints.
Near to the house the garden follows a geometric design with areas for dining and sitting including a secluded circular brick-built space. Various paving arrangements of natural stone and cobbles were employed to offer subtle contrast and complimented by cobbles, box hedging and a granite water feature.
Further from the house the garden adopts a less formal feel with mature natural planting and rustic structures. An African style hut serves as a private retreat away from the house with surrounding gravel and punctuated by large boulders.
