'applewood' - large family garden
The client brief was to maintain a large enough area for their five children to play whilst introducing a more defined and sophisticated entertaining space.
Mature trees and conifers were already in place, setting a woodland tone. This was further enhanced by planting ferns, woodland hydrangeas and hellebores. The plants were specifically chosen to be robust and child proof.
The gazebo offers structure to the garden and is positioned to act as a focal point. Cedar was the material of choice for the construction of the gazebo, pergola and elevated decks, which were all connected by the sweeping natural stone cobble path.
